Out of the Darkness Campus Walk to Prevent Depression and Suicide
Faculty, staff, students, families, and friends are invited to participate by walking and/or raising funds. By walking in the Johns Hopkins University Campus Walk, you will be walking with thousands of students to raise money for AFSP’s important research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and visibility while also targeting prevention,” says Mary Vincitore, JHSAP program manager. “JHSAP can help students suffering in silence with depression or thoughts of suicide.”
The 3+ mile walk to Patterson Park and back will start at the School of Nursing on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. To register or make a donation online, go to http://afsp.donordrive.com/event/JHU/ before April 22. Walkers who registered online and those registering the day of the walk, should arrive by 9:30 a.m.
