Our Mission

Mental Health Services supports the diverse community of Johns Hopkins University students and trainees through the provision of accessible, high-quality and compassionate mental healthcare resources. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice and prioritize these values in our approach to clinical care as well as every aspect of the work we do.

Mental Health Services operates within the Division of Student Health and Well-Being.

Need Help Now?

Are you worried about a student or learner, or do you need urgent assistance for your own mental health concern? The Behavioral Health Crisis Support Team (BHCST) can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 410-516-WELL (9355).

The BHCST pairs specially trained public safety officers with licensed clinicians to provide mobile crisis response to the Homewood, Peabody, and East Baltimore campuses.

TimelyCare TalkNow is an on-demand telehealth service that connects you to a clinician for support, any time you need it. This service is available in all 50 states and in international locations that permit web access.

You can also reach licensed clinicians by telephone, after hours and any other time our offices are closed by calling any clinic phone number.

Feedback, questions, or concerns?
We strive to provide high-quality health care and well-being resources that recognize the values, experiences, and needs of our diverse student community. We believe that a confidential, mutually respectful partnership between clients and providers is the foundation necessary to develop and maintain optimal health and well-being. Understanding your rights and responsibilities and engaging your feedback about services is central to this partnership.

Your feedback is important to us, so if you had a good experience or have helpful suggestions, we encourage you to share that directly with the staff or provider in the office you visited. Our providers are trained to listen, answer your questions, and work with you to resolve concerns. For questions or concerns that arise prior to working with a provider, or if you feel it is best to speak with someone other than your provider, please share using our online feedback form.
